The large textile works in Imprint of his Native Landscape are informed by an investigation into various modernist movements which use a geometric language of abstraction. They examine the relation of the body to such modernist shapes in architectural buildings, sculptures and monuments, both internationally and in Israel. 20th Century’s geometric abstraction is brought forth as the historical background for questions around notions of progress and unification in relation to territorialized modes of belonging.
