Imprint of his Native Landscape

The work Imprint of His Native Landscape addresses the modernist style that characterised Israeli architecture in the 50’s and 60’s. By regarding public architecture as the site in which collective consciousness is moulded and shaped, it explores the construction of a certain kind of belonging.  The work negotiates the links and gaps between habitation and national Identities; between monumentality and ideology; and between collective memory and the individual body.
